What an extraordinary journey it has been in search of the history of my mother, Ivy and my family.
It was an absolute pleasure to meet Professor the Hon. Bob Carr (former NSW Premier and Foreign Minister of Australia) during our presentation on my book Chinese Whispers, In Search of Ivy on 18 September 2018 with the Australia Chinese Relations Institute, UTS and the Chinese Australian Historical Society.

People have asked me “Who is the little girl on the front cover?” Well, that is a photo of my mother, Ivy taken around 1926 in Hong Kong. She was born in Cooktown, Far North Queensland, Australia.

I am so pleased that my book has been reviewed by the Honorable Alister Henskens SC, MP. I had the pleasure of meeting him at NSW Parliament House. He was most interested in the history of Chinese in Australia, my story and my book Chinese Whispers – In Search of Ivy!
